Only the hope of finding my love Elaine keeps me going when my quest for the fabulous treasure called Big Whoop has left me in this sorry state. I thought it would bring me fame and glory; instead, it delivered me into the clutches of my enemy.

The third outing of the zero-to-hero pirate finds him castaway in a bumpercar. What brought him here, and how will he escape?

Sometime after the events of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, our legendary pirate captain catches wind of a Spanish galleon loaded down with riches that's just departed from a port to the south. He rallies the rest of the pirates for plunder...but it was all a trap...

Twenty-nine years ago, a pair of Czech teenagers created this tribute to one of their favorite computer games, and it became the first game to be distributed there nationally. Last month, it was translated into English. Come enjoy this obscure bit of gaming history with us! And we'll be joined by a piratical bunch we haven't seen here in a while — Rose, Tammera and Nick!

In addition to Daniel (Gaige), Steve (Krieg), Trey (Axton) and myself (Salvador), we'll be joined by Rose (Zer0) and former RadioPSI Buddy Third Strongest, Claremonster (Maya).

Hopefully, the mod doesn't introduce any unsurmountable technical difficulties...

I...don't really know a whole lot about Telltale's sequels to the Monkey Island series. I loved Secret of Monkey Island and LeChuck's Revenge, though, and while not everything from Telltale has made the best first impression on me, most of it did grow on me. This series of short episodes comes with Rose's recommendation, as well, so I'm sure this'll be a good time!

Tex Murphy: Overseer - Session 2

A dame walked into my office; her daddy was dead, and she wants to know whodunnit. The police say it's a suicide, but she doesn't buy that. So I started digging. I find out the guy was seeing the lawyer who wrote his will; his daughter is the beneficiary of his life insurance, though she won't see a dime if he did himself in. There's a few people close to him who stood to benefit from his demise, but there were some other pieces that weren't quite adding up...his recent surgery, the mysterious medicine he was taking, the repeated chess allusions, and the name "Overseer" kept popping up. Something big was going on, and this guy was in deep. An old PI who'd been working with him warned me off of this, but I'm not stopping before I see where this rabbit hole leads.

Thursday Throne - Assassin's Creed - Session 4 (for real this time)

Well, last week was completely ruined by video driver crashing. So instead of Assassin's Creed, we played Shovel Knight, gifted to me by Nightshade. Thanks again! It's a fun game, and I'll definitely return to it on here.

However, I seem to have gotten the driver issues ironed out, so tonight, we'll be continuing our stabby adventures in the Holy Land!

Final Fantasy XI - It's a Wide World Out There

When last we visited the world of Vana'diel, we saw the conclusion of Chains of Promathia, and tried to start doing some of Rise of the Zilart. As for what we're doing tonight...not entirely sure! We might be pursuing some of the original storyline with Rose, we might be continuing to catch Swavely up with Zilart, we might be doing something else entirely.

Capitalism, ho!

So, a couple weeks ago, after finishing Puzzle Agent 2 halfway through the timeslot, we began — and tonight, will continue — Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. For those who missed the intro last time, this game puts you in the role of Recette, a young girl paying off her missing father's debts by operating an item shop in a town full of adventurers.
