That blurb from the trailer sums it up pretty nicely. It's like the aftermath of 2001: A Space Odyssey if Dave Bowman hadn't managed to disable HAL9000. At least, that's what it seems like; I don't actually have any idea what happened to the crew. Maybe it's not the computer's fault—innocent until proven guilty.

The most interesting aspect of this game is that you communicate with the computer not through a selection of pre-programmed actions, but by typing at it. And the range of things it's capable of responding to seems vast.

Quest for the (Early) Throne - King's Quest

We have embarked once again on the Quest for the Throne, now on the Early Throne Special!

This old cap will be remembered for far more than the action tattered across its brim. Sewn into the seams are many hidden adventures.

An aging King Graham (voiced by Christopher Lloyd) recounts some of his earliest adventures, before he was even a knight of Daventry.

It's been a while since we played a King's Quest game! Not that there's any others left to play. (Deliberately ignoring the existence of KQ8 here.) Excited to see what adventures lay in store!

Thursday Throne - Assassin's Creed: Revelations

Following the events of Brotherhood, Desmond's brain is broken. He's been placed in a prototype Animus loop, allowing him to rebuild his psyche as he explores more of his genetic memories. Inside, he meets Subject 16, whose mind lives on in the machine, though his body has long since failed. The memories he now explores see Ezio traveling to the Holy Land to see what answers might still lie in Masyaf. Of course, the Templars know the importance of this site, and have not simply left it unattended. Ezio is an old man now, as well; his constitution is not what it once was.

We began Revelations last week, in the half-hour or so remaining in our timeslot after beating Brotherhood. The above paragraph serves effectively both as an introduction to the game and as a recap to where we are thus far.

Then the light and the darkness are one.

Something terrible is about to happen in the future, so it's up to the Sailor Senshi in the present to do something about it, but the villains have also come back in time to foil them...or something. It's a very anime plot.
