Ah, a Reaper!
Guiding souls to the afterlife is just a job for these crows. But it's not always an easy one...
I first saw this around the time it came out, and immediately loved its vibe. Spooky atmosphere and themes, cute central characters. Excited to finally be getting around to playing it!
Death's Door begins tonight at 9pm ET!
Saralene released this translation this week! I helped beta test it! Running a little late with this post, so that's all the intro you get. I needed a one-off before spooky season starts, and this fits the bill nicely, I think.
Air Management '96 begins in just a few!
Be vewy vewy quiet...I'm hunting giants.
Treasure of the Rudras continues tonight at 9pm ET!
The game seemed to shift gears last session. Narrative consistency went out the window, but this feels less like connective tissue and more like the actual parts of the game the devs wanted to make. I don't mean it's gotten very good—probably both the best and worst gameplay segments so far were last week—but it feels like we've hit where all the care and attention went.
Conker's Bad Fur Day continues tonight at 9pm ET!
Daniel's not out of town this weekend, so it's time to continue! Last time, we spent a lot of time poking around at dungeons that apparently aren't even part of this story path. But we learned new words, so it was worth it!
Treasure of the Rudras continues tonight at 9pm ET!
Squirrel debauchery and 3D platforming, what more could you want from a game?
Conker's Bad Fur Day continues tonight at 9pm ET!

And in time, one by one...
They disappeared.
Many races have risen and fallen before. Now is the age of Humans. But what traces of the past remain...?
This late-era Super Famicom RPG is best-known for its "mantra" magic system—spells are devised and created by the player via text input. It has a robust system for parsing these spells, and learning its convolutions through observation is a key component to advancement.
Treasure of the Rudras begins tonight at 9pm ET!
Hmm, so it looks like things didn't go as well after the last game as it looked like they might. But our main character is having strange visions, and her journalist best friend is embroiled in some kind of mystery. Intrigue abounds!
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey continues in just a few!
MP is stored in the Ozma.
Final Fantasy IX continues tonight at 9pm ET!
Running a little late, so I don't have time for as much of a blurb here as usual.
This is the sequel to a game we played many years ago! That one began with a modern/near-future world and a fantasy world beginning to bleed into each other, and ended with the barrier between the two coming down entirely, ushering in a new age. This one is, presumably, sometime later. Have things normalized? Are magic and technology coexisting and coevolving? Let's find out!

Hypnospace Outlaw continues tonight at 9pm ET!
Greetings Enforcer, and thank you for enlisting in the Hypnospace Patrol Department! As the corporatocracy sleeps, outlaws are out there committing terrible transgressions all across our beloved Hypnospace, and these virtual streets aren't going to police themselves!
Remember what the Internet used to be like? Surfing the information superhighway? Okay, now take that into an alternate universe where you can use computers in your sleep. This game is a trip, from what little I know of it, and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest firsthand.
Hypnospace Outlaw begins tonight at 9pm ET!
1972. A janitor is about to discover a gateway to the future.
Unraveling the mysteries that led to an apocalyptic future after stumbling through a time portal...that's not in the job description.
So this game's aesthetic looks really cool, I dig the Cold War sci-fi feel. I'm interested to see how it plays.

I did some off-stream grinding to get everybody caught up on abilities. Still have some blue magic to acquire, though. Then it'll be on with the story!

The color of the water, the scent of the wind, the traces of clouds floating in the distance—like a child drifting aimlessly, knowing not a shred of doubt.
This game is a certified classic, renowned as a masterpiece of the PS2 era, and it has been in my queue for far too long. I'm finally getting around to it tonight.

Final Fantasy IX continues tonight at 9pm ET!
This adventure to recover the tetrads has taken Mike across the world and through history. We paused last week at a Transylvanian castle full of creepy creatures, which were posing a bit of a challenge for my increasingly sleepy self.

Who's this pants-needing guy??
Final Fantasy IX continues tonight at 9pm ET!
A short time ago, Mike went on an incredible journey. It began as a vacation to the South Seas, and it became a big adventure. Mike managed to save his uncle and seven space children from evil aliens.
A few months have passed. Mike is now in school and everything seems to be back to normal...
We beat the first game last week, but the story's not over yet!
StarTropics II: Zoda's Revenge begins tonight at 9pm ET!

Heroes who seek a reason for being set off to find that which cannot be found...
I never had a PlayStation growing up, and while 7 and 8 had contemporary PC ports, 9 didn't get one until about ten years ago. And sure, emulation was always an option before that, but even there, I only ever put about an hour into this one—I was always hesitant to dive into something this big. I probably would've streamed this a lot sooner, but it didn't get along with my controller; that's all resolved now, though! I'm excited to finally play this!
Final Fantasy IX begins tonight at 9pm ET!
Dear Mike,
I am sorry I did not write you sooner, but I just returned from a long voyage in the islands in search of lost ruins and artifacts. I was very pleased to find your letter upon my return. Boy, time sure is flying by! Last time I saw you, you were just starting school... and now, 15 years old, an honor student, and captain of your high school baseball team!
I think it's a great idea that you visit me during your vacation. I'm sure that you'll enjoy the tropical islands, the blue water, and the friendly people you'll find living under the Southern Cross. You can even take a cruise in my super submarine, Sub-C.
I have enclosed some pictures and a map of C-Island for you. Hope to see you soon, and give my regards to your family.
Sincerely,
Uncle Steve
I never beat this game as a kid! Let's change that.
StarTropics begins tonight at 9pm ET!
Daniel's sick tonight, so he's gonna be staying remote (in another room). Hope I can make it through the slaughterhouse without him.
