As we look back on 2015 and forward to the new year, what better way to celebrate than by playing a game with a character named Janus?
After Thanksgiving and Christmas, I wanted to marathon a game that would really challenge my endurance for New Year's and my birthday. Chrono Trigger is one of my very favorites, and while I know it well—even going so far as to record every ending to VHS when I was a kid—I've never attempted to beat it in a single sitting, or even come close accidentally.
So, New Year's Eve at 4pm ET, I will sit down and attempt to do just that. Straight through, no stopping, from start to finish. I'll even try to stick through all the endgame sidequests.
