Holding Court - Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard
I didn't last too long with Absolute Drift...just couldn't get the hang of it. So my mom took over the stream and played through The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game. And she liked it so much, she wants to continue the series!

I cannot hear you! I'm asleep.
A magical assassination is attempted on the royal family; thanks to a nursemaid, the baby prince survives, spirited away, not even himself aware of his true identity. Years later, his mundane life is again interrupted by magical malfeasance, and despite being fairly directionless, is determined to get to the bottom of things.
This game was a favorite of my childhood. Those familiar with Sierra's games may recognize it as an incremental advancement over King's Quest VII, and while its appearance has certainly aged, it was high quality art for its time. There's also a couple of Sailor Moon easter eggs hidden near the end.
And, excitingly, Marian will be attempting to play! This will be her first point-and-click adventure title. Here's hoping she's up to the task!

Holding Court - Absolute Drift
Driving games aren't usually my thing, but this seemed like a fun and interesting little diversion. Didn't really want to start something heavy and story-focused on a Friday, y'know? Plus, I really dig the style, very clean and minimalist. No telling how long it'll take me to get the hang of it, though...or even if I will. But that's fine.
